Garpanchakot diary

Garhpanchkot is a ruined fort located in the eastern part of India at the foot hills of Panchet Hill in the district of Purulia, West Bengal. The ruins of the Panchkot Palace are a silent testimony to the Bargi attack during the 18th century. From a historical perspective Alivardi Khan had become the Nawab of Bengal in April 1740, having defeated and killed Sarfiraz Khan.

Singapore Airshow Diary

I got a chance to attend a great event called Singapore Airshow.
The Singapore Airshow, formerly known as Changi International Airshow, is a biennial aerospace event held in Singapore, debuted in 2008. The event was launched as a partnership between Singaporean agencies Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and the Defense Science and Technology Agency after the relocation of Asian Aerospace from Singapore. It hosts high-level government and military delegations, as well as senior corporate executives around the world, while serving as a global event for leading aerospace companies and budding players (including start-ups) to make their mark in the international aerospace and defense market. The event offers a unique platform for industry thought leadership through its high-level conferences, forums and co-located events. Leading industry players, government and military chiefs gather here bi-annually to contribute to dialogues, exchange ideas and seek solutions and strategies to advance the interests of the global aerospace and defense sector.

If you like sea beach and not have enough time/day then no need to worry. There is a good sea beach destination - Digha. It lies in East Medinipur district and at the northern end of the Bay of Bengal. Digha can be nice and pleasant weekend destination for you.

Digha is a very popular beach destination for us. It’s a great place to chill out with friends; yeah you can go with your family as well.

Sometime we started at Friday night after office or Saturday morning. BUS, Train or private car will be good commute to Digha. For train you need to go to Howrah station, bus you can catch from esplanade (different type of buses you can get e.g. AC/ non AC) and for private car you can start from Kolkata (west Bengal India) to Kolaghat then Nandakumar then Contai and last Digha, 200km approx .
