Krikwood – USA California

Krikwood is situated in California south of Lake Tahoe. Krikwood is mainly famous for skiing. Other popular activities are snowboarding in winter and hiking and mountain-biking in summer. Kirkwood is one of the region's larger resorts, and is well known for having one of the highest average snowfalls and a broad selection of advanced skiing ground. Kirkwood's main attraction is the Kirkwood Mountain Resort. The town is accessible by State Route 88. Kirkwood is within the Eldorado National Forest.

It is a nice place for one day trip or if you like then you can stay as you will get few of good resort there. We went there for one day from Foster City California. We booked a package tour which was almost $100, including bus fare and breakfast. We started around 2 am, it took almost 2-3 hrs to reach Krikwood.  We reached there just before the Sun rise and the weather was chilling, almost -2 to -3 degree Celsius.

Ski is the most popular sports in Krikwood and its time for skier. By the cable ride skier will reach the top of the mountain
