Tajpur Diary

Tajpur another weekend gateway near Kolkata, your beach destination. Tajpur is located in Purba Medinipur, in the state of West Bengal, India on the shore of Bay of Bengal. It is relatively new as there are fewer hotels compared to Digha and Mandarmani. The beach is clean and home to numerous red crabs. In Tajpur, prime attraction is its sea beach which is less crowded copare to other beaches in Bengal. It is a perfect destination for relaxation and rejuvenation.

The best and convenient way for Tajpur is private car, you can also go by bus. As Tajpur is very near to Digha (5km aprox) so you can go Tajpur via Digha. Distance from Kolkata is almost 190km.

If you want to spend full weekend then its good to start by Friday night from Kolkata or you can start early morning in Saturday. So we have decided to start on Friday evening. We have booked a car and after office we boarded in car. From Kolkata first you need to cross the Vidyasagar Setu, then Kona Expressway. After completion of our dinner at kolaghat then Nandakumar. From Nandakumar there is a right turn towards Contai. There is stoppage named Balisai where a left side village road finally meet the sea side village Tazpur. It was too late at night, as we had our dinner already so it is good time to say good night.
