Point Reyes is a prominent cape and popular Northern
California tourist destination on the Pacific coast. It is located in Marin
County approximately 30 miles (50 km) west-northwest of San Francisco. History
says that a Spanish explorer Juan RodrÃguez Cabrillo sighted and named
"Cabo de Pinos" -Point Reyes.
It was a short day trip from Foster City to Point Reyes. After having breakfast we started for Point Reyes. Foster City to SFO(San Francisco) 22 mi and from SFO to Point Reyes 36 mi so total almost 58 mi / 94 km. It was long journey with a beautiful scenic.
its good to take break during long drive and I utilized
those break to take few snaps
few hours of drive we reached there. After parking area you need to walk for few minutes to reach visitor center of Point Reyes.
after few minutes of walk you will enter to the peninsula
now its time to explore the nature
and also the light house but you need to go there
suddenly we found the strange whale skull
with the whale skull we closed our exploration and return to home
